Why Not Take Your Company To The Next Level With An SSIP Accreditation
CHAS Accreditation
CHAS Accreditation is a safety compliance scheme that is an integral part of Safety Schemes Procurement (SSIP), which assist in the health and safety pre-qualification process.
When you undertake CHAS registration, you will be demonstrating that you meet the recognised standards required by any organisation looking to employ you as a contractor.
Once your organisation is registered under the scheme it shows that your health and safety procedures and documentation are to a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard.
Becoming CHAS accredited has proven time and time again to lead to more business opportunities, generating more business and profit for you and your company.
How would CHAS Accreditation benefit my Organisation?
-
It is a highly recognised standard that will save you time with pre-qualifications for other organisations.
-
You will have more opportunities to secure bigger and better commercial contracts that previously you may have not been shortlisted for.
-
This allows clients to have an assurance that all CHAS Accredited Contractors have been assessed to a minimum common Health and Safety Standard.
-
Improves your professional image allowing you to win more work.

The CHAS assessment can be complex and time-consuming as many companies find it a daunting process.

-
We can adapt to any level of assistance required, whether you want us to complete the whole process from start to finish or you require assistance with certain areas of the application, we can help either way.
SMAS is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and is a way of demonstrating your Health & Safety competence. Businesses from all backgrounds are open to apply and, assuming your application is successful, your certificate will be valid for 12 months.
Although more common for businesses in the construction sector, SMAS Worksafe accreditation is applicable across the board. If you’re a business that’s required to tender and/or complete pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), SMAS Worksafe accreditation can give you a real boost.
Why? Because it shows the business you’re bidding for that you take Health & Safety seriously, and that you’re a safe company to team up with.
How would SMAS Accreditation benefit my Organisation
-
An SSIP accreditation such as SMAS is hugely beneficial for your business as it will enable you to use the SMAS WorkSafe logo and certification.
-
This demonstrates competence with health and safety practices and procedures making you appear far more reliable and capable to potential clients and satisfying the HSE if they ever pay a visit.
-
You will also be included on the SMAS database which increases your visibility to clients which is far more cost-effective than a major marketing campaign.
-
It provides peace of mind that businesses have the relevant processes and paperwork in place to comply with legislation and protect their business when working on site.
-
It helps businesses stay ahead of the competition and win more work opportunities when in the tender process.
